I first noticed this one night not long ago as I returned home and was greeted by a new scent along my route. It was the sweet-as-honey smell of recently emerged blossoms, causing my breath to deepen and my nostrils to spread so I could better drink in the fragrance. My skin anticipated the sunny warmth which was to follow.
And it soon did.
The almost forgotten warmth of the sun that had left months before, returning with a lingering bite of chill wind, a vestige to remind us of our recent passage through winter. A memento so that we do not forget where we have
The giddiness of spring had touched me with the subsiding rains, the longer days, the anticipation of playful nights.
